Bee’s created for a stationery brand, which were then used on other promotional material.

A random campaign for a student help firm for Universities.

The illustration was fun and the briefs given to me were a bit random.

A few day’s ago on the 21st I left The Engine Room, a design and branding agency in Huddersfield.
I had worked at The Engine Room since June of 2011, after finishing my BA in Graphic Communications.

The team of seven (currently) is run by the Creative Director Darren Evans, and I appreciated the opportunity he gave me to work with such a bright and energetic team.

I enjoyed my limited time at The Engine Room, and I wish I would of had the chance to work for them earlier on in my career.
On one of my last days working for them, we had a team photo. Some of the members of the team, including myself had “grown” some different facial hair…can you guess who?
I wish them all the best in the future.

Tonight I went to the Kirklees College Col’s Awards 2012 and I won this award.

I wan an award for “Individual Performance”, which I was nominated for by my tutor. I was so glad to get an award
.
Earlier this year after completing my BA in Graphic Communications, I took on a new challenge. The challenge was to do a TEFL course while I was working full time at the same time.
I found a TEFL that I was able to do online and also on one intensive weekend class in Huddersfield. The course I decided to do was with Love TEFL, a firm based in Leeds who are able to offer the teaching and qualification needed to get the TEFL qualification.
The course was interesting and I learned different teaching methods from both online and the intensive weekend course, where I learned about lesson plans and how to deal with different age groups while teaching.
I was glad to receive the qualifcation, and I hope what I have learned will help me to teach in another country, if I need to that is.

I picked up my certificate today for my BA (Hons) in Graphic Communications. I was so happy to find out that I got a 1:1!! I didn’t know I had done so well, as I hadn’t been to see my results at the Batley School of Art & Design.

Today I graduated from with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Communications. I am so glad to have finally graduated, after spending the last two year’s part-time working on getting my degree at the Batley School of Art & Design.
]]>I have a still much to learn, but this is what I have created so far, above.
]]>For the final part, I had to create a promotional piece that could be sent out.
For this I created a pocket to hold the various items using Colorplan paper’s from GF Smith, which I managed to do by using origami. To finish off the poster I used my customised wax seal.
Inside the pocket I included my CV (resume), covering letter, another poster and both my wooden and spot UV business cards.
My posters turned out well, and I hope everything will go well.
